WhatsApp Changes its Branding to “Whatsapp From Meta”

Just a day after Facebook announced it’s changing the name of its company to Meta in an AR/VR-focused Connect event on October 28, the company has now started changing the footer of its apps to reflect that.

As seen by WABetaInfo, with version 2.21.220.14 of WhatsApp beta, after opening the app, it does not display “WhatsApp from Facebook” anymore as it has been updated to “WhatApp from Meta.”

Last year, WhatsApp had added the “from Facebook” brand display when you open the app.

However, the company is now updating to its new brand name “Meta,” to reflect the goals of being a metaverse company.

The latest update also shows that WhatsApp has removed the “WhatsApp from Facebook” footer in the settings tab as well.

Facebook’s new brand name reflects its growing ambitions beyond social media, as it has adopted the new name from “metaverse” for describing its vision for working and playing in the virtual world.

A French Bistro Now Accepts Shiba Inu as Payment in Paris

Shiba Inu token holders will now be able to taste some of the finest French cuisine available at a bistro in Paris.

This is mainly because Le Bistrot d’Eléonore et Maxence, a restaurant in Paris, France, has joined the increasing list of mainstream merchants to accept Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a payment method.

The information became public when a video was shared by a local resident and crypto investor, Natheno Davy, in a Twitter post.

The video showed that the restaurant’s main entrance sported two new stickers “Shiba Inu accepted here,” right above the other traditional payment options.

The growing acceptance of the Shiba Inu token has been a direct outcome of the ongoing bull market, which has attracted new crypto investors to the market.

SHIB has overtaken Dogecoin (DOGE) in terms of market cap and is the ninth most valuable cryptocurrency in the world, according to Coinmarketcap.

Due to the recent flurry of price increases, Shiba Inu has seen a rise in the number of businesses accepting and using the token for transactions.
