Tesla Moving Headquarters From California to Texas

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the electric automaker plans to move its headquarters from Silicon Valley’s Palo Alto, California to Austin, Texas, where it is building a massive car and battery manufacturing complex.

The move comes after Musk issued a warning last year after he was miffed by local coronavirus lockdown orders that forced Tesla to halt production at its factory in California.

However, Tesla plans to increase production in its California plant regardless of the headquarters move.

The company has not been happy with one set of regulations in Texas, at least. Texas bans direct sales of cars in the state and car markers have to sell their vehicles through independent, franchised dealerships.

On the other side, Tesla has received a huge amount of support from California since it was founded there in 2003.

The company has enjoyed grant funding, incentives, tax breaks, and favorable policies from organizations like California Energy Commission and California Alternative Energy, California Air Resources Board, among others.

Google Search Adds Guitar Tuner to Its Range of Built-In Features

Tech giant Google has added a handy built-in-tuner to its Google Search product that will let you use the microphone on your phone or computer to tune a guitar.

The feature which was added this week can be accessed by just searching for “Google tuner.”

The interface is like that of guitar tuning apps that are already available in the market. You just need to play a string on the guitar, and Google will detect the note you are searching for and advise you to tune up or tune down as necessary.

However, just like other guitar tuning apps, the efficiency and results of Google’s tuner may vary as they are likely to be dependent on the hardware you are using it with.

With the growing use of smartphones, dedicated hardware chromatic tuners have reduced drastically, but finding a good tuning app can still be a tedious task.

And, if you are looking for a standard chromatic tuner, then you can just use the new feature of Google Search.

ETH Held by Miners Reaches Highest Level Since 2016

The amount of Ethereum (ETH) held by miners has reached record highs in US dollars as miners remain reluctant to sell.

The balance held by Ethererum miners is the biggest it has been since shortly after the network launched five years ago.

Upon converting the amount to USD, it hits an all-time high of $1.85 billion, according to data provided by analytics company Santiment.

In a Twitter post, the company said that the 532,750 Ethereum is the largest balance held by miners since July 13, 2016.

The amount is equivalent to approximately 0.45% of the total circulating supply of Ethereum, which is currently 117.8 million ETH.

Usually, miners sell the asset on a regular basis to cover expenses, which include the cost of electricity and hardware.

However, a reluctance to sell suggests that miners could hold the asset and wait for further price increases.
