A message to all LEADERS.
If you ever feel the need to jump on video calls every single time you want an update from your team because of WFH.
If you feel the need to micromanage and do mid-day check ins because of WFH.
If you feel the need to ask every single day what they’ve accomplished because of WFH.
If you feel you can email and call at all hours of the day because of WFH and you need your employee to respond because there is no more physical “office” and the employee doesn’t physically leave at the end of the day.
#1 You should never have hired that employee to do the amazing work they can do because you don’t trust them.
#2 That employee is going to leave you the second more job opportunities opened up.
#3 You’re not a leader at all.
Cancel toxic WFH culture ASAP.
We can’t let this become a thing.
Leaders need to level up.
